This design features in my 2009 book, “Origami Tessellations”.
I re-folded it for an exhibition, using some of my partner’s hand-made flax and abaca paper, which I burnished to create a smoother and shinier folding surface. I enjoy very much folding pieces like this from more organic, hand-made paper, as it yields an interesting contrast and difference between the rigid geometry of the folding and the chaotic nature of hand-made paper.
